Men want to be heroic, it’s something written deep on our souls, yet most of us will settle for “adequate” and many of us fear that the people we care most about, might grade us somewhere below adequate.
I spent much of my life in a defensive posture; I lived my life so that I would not be criticized, I aimed for “adequate” in relationships, and often scored less. To live a life far beyond adequate, in the realm of heroic, is less complicated than one might imagine, yet almost impossible to accomplish by trying harder, and completely impossible to accomplish alone.
Brotherhood is bond that unites the minds and souls of men; it is deeply spiritual connection. For men to live life outside of brotherhood with other men is spiritual poverty.
HeartForge is dedicated to waking the hero in every man; not only to awaken the desire for the extraordinary life, but to also equip and facilitate men to make the changes necessary for growth. What holds us back is less our circumstances, and more our perceptions, beliefs, and attitudes. What we believe about ourselves matters. HeartForge is a community of men who encourage each other.
