The situation we find ourselves in, our ideas, the way relationships work, and how we interpret life is seen through a set of “lenses”; the lenses are the combination of our beliefs, our emotions, and our experiences. The statement “people never change” is made by people who believe that these lenses cannot change, but a primary goal of HeartForge is to adjust the lenses we see life through. With clear lenses, we become the best we can be; the best parents, the best mates, the best friends, and we are more likely to see the larger picture in life.
Change through willpower alone is not change that lasts; we can change our behavior, but we are less able to change the desires of our hearts. It is not enough, however, to want change, and to have a vision for what change might look like; change is a process that involves not only our rational minds, but our emotions too, and our spirits. Permanent change is always a spiritual change.
Beyond desire, beyond the rational, beyond process, is a power greater than ourselves, greater than our will.
Come explore with us what life can be.
Collaborative Mentoring Many folks have trust relationships in place, and HeartForge is able to cooperate with existing entities and groups to enhance rather than replace what is currently effective.
Therapeutic Groups Being included in a group can have a very positive outcome as we dig into our lives and evaluate change. What we struggle to see in our own story is sometimes far more obvious in the story of someone else in a group.
Continuum of Care HeartForge has strong relationships with a range of care providers; partnerships with professionals that provide professional services, while allowing HeartForge to maintain continuity. HeartForge is a “rubber meets the road” interface in people’s lives, providing an interface between good intentions and real change.
Weekend Advances Groups of five can experience a weekend together that is designed to break down barriers in relationship. A Weekend Advance is an event tailored to a specific group including activities and focused discussions that result in a deep sense of knowing each other.
Weekend Advances may be local groups, but may also include international groups. The centrality of Central Pennsylvania, including the natural resources and activities available here, as well as the proximity to Harrisburg, Gettysburg, Philadelphia, New York City, Baltimore, and Washington DC render this area a very viable destination for international groups.
